Driving Instructor
We’re looking for an experienced driving instructor who can inspire confidence in new and young drivers, is comfortable teaching one-on-one or in a classroom, and has a genuine passion for road safety.

About the Role
As a Kaitūwhana, you will walk alongside whānau using kaupapa Māori approaches building trusting relationships, developing whānau-led plans, advocating for access to services, and supporting their journey toward mana motuhake. You’ll act as a connector and advocate, ensuring whānau receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with whānau kanohi ki te kanohi to identify needs, strengths, and goals
- Facilitating whānau plans and ensuring progress is monitored and celebrated
- Navigating services and advocating for whānau in complex situations
- Maintaining accurate case notes, reports, and documentation
- Collaborating across internal teams and external agencies
- Upholding tikanga Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and kaupapa Māori practice in all mahi
This is a fixed term role until 31 December 2026.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working with Māori and within kaupapa Māori settings
- Strengths-based, trauma-informed practice
- Experience in areas such as family harm, mental health, addictions, crisis response, or housing support
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using client management systems
- Relevant qualifications (Whānau Ora, Māori health, social services, mental health & addictions, facilitation, etc.)
- Full NZ Class 1 licence and willingness to engage in ongoing learning
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for whānau and community

ISR Family Harm Practitioner
This role recognises that many individuals and whānau remain at risk even after a “make safe” response. You will work with clients assessed as low, medium, or high risk, including rangatahi who may be victims, perpetrators, or witnesses of family harm, and whānau facing complex and compounding challenges.
- Provide case management and support to individuals and whānau assessed as low, medium or high risk of family harm
- Make timely contact following referrals from SAM, IVS or POS
- Hold the primary relationship with clients, maintaining a safety-first and child-centred approach
- Work closely with ISR partners, including Police, Corrections, IVS and POS, to support safety and accountability
- Identify and respond to dynamic risk factors and support whānau to set goals and sustain change
- Coordinate warm handovers to longer-term and specialist services
- Maintain accurate records and information sharing using the ISR Case Management System
- Escalate concerns and refer back to SAM where risk increases
