Our programmes are rooted in kaupapa Māori, promoting a bi-cultural learning environment that values and acknowledges the life experiences of adult learners. We empower students to take ownership of their education within a supportive and safe space. Our focus is on developing graduates who exemplify ethical, competent practice and maintain the integrity of the social service industry.

The programme combines theory and practical skills, covering key areas such as academic study, research skills, critical thinking, and informed decision-making. It aims to develop the essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to provide social services to individuals, groups, and communities. Graduates will also develop professional values and ethical practices, in alignment with the Aotearoa/New Zealand Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and practice standards.
