What’s in it for me?

Whānau Workers can help you:

  • Increase your knowledge and confidence around parenting
  • Learn about baby care (bonding & attachment, bathing, breastfeeding, immunisation, nutrition, child development)
  • Understand what health professionals and services are available
  • Learn techniques for stress-relief and help you to increase your sense of well-being
  • Build connections with other mothers
  • Create a safe environment for yourself and your pēpi

Eligibility

      • We provide support for parents who have little or no support
      • We can assist during pregnancy, and until pēpi is 5 years old
      • Our service is free and flexible to meet your individual needs
